Several manufacturing companies are looking at sustainability as an imperative goal in their approach to surge growth and global competitiveness. Even when the pandemic subsides, it will leave behind a changed economic landscape for manufacturers and their customers. In this context, Publish Industry India, in collaboration with Siemens Digital Industries Software, along with technology partner, Hexagon Smart Manufacturing and metalworking fluid partner, Blaser Swisslube Solutions, organised the second edition of the “Manufacturing Business Forum – Strategies for Unlocking a Sustainable Growth”, which discussed Additive Manufacturing’s role in achieving sustainability, how breakthrough technologies should be used to bring step improvements, how sustainability is the need of the hour & more.

We should also have local self-reliance

A global network is surely needed, but we should also have local self-reliance, so that there won’t be any hindrances in a pandemic-like scenario. For example, more than 80-90% of the world depended on China & nearby countries for chips.
