DMG MORI held a production launch ceremony for the CMX 600 Vi vertical machining centre on Oct 29 at Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) in Coimbatore, India. At the ceremony, Dr Masahiko Mori, President of DMG MORI, and Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, CMD of LMW, extended greetings and cut the ribbon with guests. DMG MORI will begin manufacturing the CMX 600 Vi in India where the demand for machine tools is expected to grow. The machine, specialised for Indian customers, is manufactured at the LMW’s factory with an initial production volume of 10 units a month. The production volume will be increased in stages. The CMX 600 Vi features include: wide work envelope, high rigidity, high-performance spindle, and workability, maintainability and reliability.
