Benteler-SGL has set up a new plant at Innkreis in Upper Austria. A production centre for the manufacture of automotive components made of fibre-reinforced composites is being built on the 45,000 m2 property; the construction of the facility began in April. Bayer MaterialScienceplans to establish a global wind energy competence and development centre at its existing site in Otterup, Denmark. The competence centre will spearhead and coordinate the global development activities for advanced materials used in wind energy applications. Kim Harnow Klausen has been appointed as lead of the Competence Centre in addition to his current responsibility as Managing Director of Bayer MaterialScience, Denmark.
